Scholarships

Before the school year begins, in conformity with the mission of TESDA or CHED, “to promote and make quality education accessible to all Filipino Citizen,” Skill-Power Institute gives assistance to students in the form of scholarships. Students may be eligible for scholarship after meeting the following pre-requisites, depending on the kind and nature of the Scholarships.

College Scholarship Grants

1. SPI-Scholar – is a scholarship grant given by SPI to students who have passed the SPI qualifying exam with a percentage score of not lower than 85%.  To enjoy maintaining the grant, he/she should maintain a General Point Average (GPA) of not lower than 1.75 with no grade lower than 2.25 in any of his/her subjects.  Scholarship grants are subject to SPI’s rules and regulations.

2. LOCAL GOVERNMENT Scholar – is a scholarship granted by Government or Public Officials or as an educational privilege, as a result of SPI’s affiliation with the local government. With this kind of scholarship, the recipient is entitled to a six months or one semester educational privilege, subject to SPI’s rules and regulations. An endorsement letter is required for this kind of scholarship.

3.  EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – SPI grants 50% Tuition Fee Scholarship on any student recipient endorsed by NGO, private institution or civic organization with an affiliation with SPI.  The student recipient must maintain at least a GPA of not lower than 2.50, with no grade lower than 2.50 in the succeeding semesters.

4. ACADEMIC SCHOLAR – is a scholarship grant given by SPI to new students with good scholastic record or academic achievers of any reputable school.

Valedictorian              Free Tuition Fee.
Salutatorian               50% Scholarship Grant on Tuition Fee.
Honorable Mention   25% Scholarship Grant on Tuition Fee.

For the succeeding semester, the academic scholarships for old students will be applied   as follows:

President’s Lister  GPA or 1.0 – 1.25 with no grade below 1.50;
Free Tuition Fee.
VP’s Lister  

GPA of 1.26 – 1.50 with no grade below 1.75;
50% Scholarship Grant on Tuition Fee.

Director’s Lister GPA or 1.51– 1.75 with no grade below 2.00
25% Scholarship Grant on      Tuition Fee.

5. PESFA SCHOLAR – is a scholarship given by TESDA which entitles the student to a one year scholarship grant. Here, TESDA shoulders a specific amount of the Tuition Fee. The remaining amount for the Tuition Fee and Miscellaneous Fee will be collected from the student.

The student must present a Certificate of Eligibility provided by TESDA after passing the criteria set by the agency and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) issued by TESDA.
